Barran Liebman proudly sponsored and attended the 16th Annual Race for Justice this past Saturday, June 18th. A team of 19 Barran Liebman team members and their families ran the 5k in support of the race initiatives. The event was a great success and all proceeds were donated to the St. Andrew Legal Clinic (SALC), an organization that provides legal services to low-income families. The SALC plays a critical role in protecting families from domestic violence by offering legal advocacy for issues of adoption, child custody and support, protection orders, guardianship, parenting time, and spousal support. Founded in 1979, the clinic has been defending Oregon’s most vulnerable families for 36 years and has helped over 55,000 Oregonians and their 75,000 children.
The Barran Liebman team is proud to support SALC, and to have had so many participants in the 2016 Race for Justice. The firm is especially proud that, Tyler Volm, an attorney at Barran Liebman, has actively contributed to the St. Andrew Legal Clinic since 2013 as a member of the Race for Justice Planning Committee. The team is thrilled by the success of the event and will continue training in preparation for next year’s 17th Annual Race for Justice.
