On Thursday, June 6th, members of the Barran Liebman team attended the 40th Anniversary Celebration for the Oregon Paralegal Association (“OPA”). In celebration of 40 years of advancing and promoting the professional, ethical, and educational standards of paralegals, Barran Liebman was proud to sponsor the OPA in this successful event.
As a part of the OPA’s commitment to Oregon’s legal community, they partnered with The Lawyers’ Campaign for Equal Justice (“CEJ”) to celebrate the combined efforts of both organizations in promoting the paralegal profession, as well as access to justice within the legal industry as a whole. 100% of the proceeds from the event’s raffle went to support CEJ (over $8,500 raised) and Chief Justice Martha Walters served as the event’s keynote speaker with a host of well-deserved plaudits and compliments towards the OPA.
The Barran Liebman paralegal team is highly involved with the OPA, with Leah Aldred serving as the Board’s Immediate Past President, Niki Harrison serving as Treasurer and Newsletter Editor of The Paragram, and Brandon Rueda serving as Associate Representative. According to Barran Liebman paralegal, Leah Aldred, “OPA leadership was thrilled by Barran Liebman’s strong turnout and attendance at the soirée and is equally grateful for the firm’s support of our partnership with CEJ. Barran Liebman’s support of the paralegal profession remains vivid.” Barran Liebman looks forward to providing ongoing support to the OPA and is proud of the paralegal team’s leadership in the profession and community.
