On Friday, October 18th, 2019, members of the Barran Liebman team attended the LGBT Bar Association of Oregon’s (“OGALLA”) 29th Annual Dinner and Fundraiser. OGALLA was founded in 1991, as a statewide organization committed to supporting the needs of sexual minorities and gender non-conforming members of the legal profession. With nearly 150 members today, it strives to promote fair and just treatment of all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser go to support the Bill and Ann Shepherd Legal Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to students in their final year of law school who are pursuing a legal career that will support the rights of LGBTQ individuals.
According to Barran Liebman attorney and OGALLA Board of Directors member, Josh Goldberg, “I am proud of Barran Liebman’s eagerness to support OGALLA and the Bill and Ann Shepherd Legal Scholarship. Barran Liebman’s recent contribution is just one shining example of its commitment to promote and support diversity and inclusion efforts.” Barran Liebman was proud to support OGALLA as a Silver Sponsor, and looks forward to its continued support of OGALLA, as well as other organizations who aim to advance and empower underrepresented populations in accessing and participating in the justice system.
